Infrastructure and developmental projects for several large clients in and around Trivandrum have been the cornerstone of our business. Since 2007, we have successfully handed over 250,000 sq.ft. of meticulously constructed infrastructure.

Some of our major projects include the Marian Engineering College Boy’s and Girls’ Hostels, Marian Engineering College Auditorium, JMJ Convent Building, Marian Engineering College Architectural Block, Old Age Home at Vallavila, Seminary Building, Mangalapuram, Renovation work at St. Joseph’s School, and so on.

Kanai owes its growth to two of its passionate directors – Xavier and Varghese. In the last decade the duo built a real estate business totally governed by ethical business practices. To have successfully run an institution for over a decade based on an ethical value system is highly unfeasible in a business like construction. The fact that they overcame a hostile and unfriendly real estate business environment exemplifies the true grit and commitment of these two directors. They have been steadfast and unrelenting and have completely stuck to a value-based business.

It is a fact that Kanai’s directors have meticulously built an institution that puts people over everything else. Be it clients or their own people, ethical business practices and commitment have been Kanai’s watchwords.

Xavier’s passion for construction began with a career in the government sector. A veteran engineer of over thirty years’ experience in the Public Works Department of Kerala, he has had the opportunity to plan and implement many prestigious government projects. Post retirement in 2007 he joined Varghese – a very passionate and go-to-man in any crisis – to slowly chart Kanai’s growth.

Today Kanai Builders has a dedicated workforce of 150 employees including 4 engineers, technological capability, technical expertise and execution skills  in addition to an enviable collection of construction equipment worth about Rs.1 Crore. Kanai’s business has grown manifold and is poised to take on larger challenges in the construction business in Kerala.
